WE just love Percherons. My daughter Abigail's biggest dream is to have a horse and my husband keeps telling her she can get one "someday", but he just can't get around to setting up a fence and protective stall for one at this time. He promised Bethany one for her entire growing up years and all of a sudden, she was grown and gone and sometimes she will say so wistfully that she never did get a horse. I hope this is not what happens to Abigail, too. She has been so patient about it but I know it is just a discouragement to her. I think our animals become friends. It must be terribly hard and I just really sorry for your sadness. I'm glad you had your dream horse, even if you have passed her on to another family so they can love her, too. |
